We bought tickets about a month ago to join Brett on business this week. We were SO grateful that the weather was better than the week before (hitting 105 that week). We were able to enjoy mid 70s all week. There was lots of time in the pool, a visit to a children's museum, all meals together (bonus to the hotel being close to Brett's work :), and a day at the LA Zoo. Thankfully S did great on both flights. We were ready to be home for sure though. Something about keeping a toddler contained in a very small space for two hours that is a bit tiring...Thanks to the airline reassigning seats with us not together on either flight, but requesting to be; we were reassigned to seat 20C and 20D...AKA last row on the plane with no recline or window. I was rather irritated on the way home with that assignment and let Brett know about it before we boarded. When we got on the plane the flight attendant was sitting in our seats waiting for everyone to board and asked where S got her beautiful curls. My immediate response was "her birth mom" because that's the truth. The flight attendant had placed a daughter as well. She has a friend who is pregnant and really not wanting to parent. We gave her a pass along card, and instantly knew that was why we had those crappy seats, BUT at the same time were so incredibly grateful for that gift. Who knows if anything will come of it, but I am sure grateful for the opportunity we were blessed with.
Pictures below are from the children's museum
Super fun climbing tower
Going down slides, happily, all by herself. She used to be scared of them.
She loves mirrors. This one was especially fun!
Her first time on a bike by herself...I think she looks pretty cute!
HUGE building blocks
Pulley ride
Zoo Pictures:
She loved the kangaroos.
She loved the monkeys!
Three hours at the zoo and refusing to take a morning nap did her in
